In 1940 the Ox Yoke Inn® began serving German & American foods “Family Style” in the building located next door. In 1950 it was relocated to its present location. The building was constructed in three parts. The first frame portion on the east side in 1856. The brick portion in 1870. And the newer frame portion was added in 1978. The building was a communal residence and kitchen house. In 1908 co-founder William Leichsenring was born in the dining room known today as the Founders’ Room.
